Site Restructure

Friday, September 2nd, 2005

I have redone the gallery, and videos section and removed the forum. I plan on switching the main site to WordPress shortly. I don’t have as much time to maintain this site anymore so I need easier system to work with.

Google Talk

Wednesday, August 24th, 2005

Google launched its Google Talk service last night. It uses your GMail login and password. If anyone needs an invite email me and ask for one! Would be nice to finally kill off the horribly ad
filled and code bloated AIM! Google Talk is taking less than 7MB
sitting in my tray while keeping me up to date on my enormous email
inbox! Check it out

PR Update and Dmoz acceptance in the same day!

Friday, July 15th, 2005

Google updated PageRank today AND s12x.com was listed in dmoz! Most of my sites stayed the same. I think jx90.com got hurt a bit because of the new archive style but the front page was becoming unmanageable. My blog went down unfortunately. It used to be a 4 and now ranks as a 3. My profile on sourceforge.net became a 6 (the highest I have seen from anything!) My ASM eBook dropped from a 5 to a 0. My directory front page got a 1 which is awesome. Hopefully with the resources this site provides and some of the info in the other sites in my network I will start to gain some rank out there. Would be nice to have a team of writers and people to submit videos. I recently recieved 10x the disk space I used to have so look for coming videos. I need more time to post them and do a brief write up for each one than anything now. Perhaps someone out there wouldn’t mind helping out? Shoot me an email at oracle8000@aol.com

Site Redesign

Tuesday, July 12th, 2005

Well I have done some major reconstruction to this site and s12x.com. I am sure you have noticed the ads. The bandwidth requirements of this site and S12X have gotten pretty extreme so in order to help defray some of the costs I have put up some adsense banners from google. I put them up yesterday during redesign and generated a whopping 74c! If I can get that up to a few dollars a day I may be able to throw tons more videos up here and let people even submit there own stuff if I can afford my own dedicated account. I plan on adding articles on misc. stuff from computers to cars to help draw more visitors to my site. Would be cool to break $1 per day. ServerPronto has a 29/mo dedicated host but its resources are a bit limited. I am looking at getting the base package from Server4You. It would let me host 60GB of video content and articles! More than some people can fit on their hard drive still! I will probably make a seperate section for articles. If anyone wants to submit an article shoot me an email (oracle8000@aol.com)

S12X.COM added to the jx90 network

Saturday, June 18th, 2005

I created a basic site for developers of the HCS12(X) to be able to host projects, related media and tools for free. Should anyone want webspace/subdomain simply contact me with the info on that page with some details about your project and I will try my best to help you out. I am also interested in getting an assembler together that will process HCS12, HCS12X and X-Gate code. I was given a very well done Perl assembler recently and have posted that in the Tools section of S12X.com. Anyhow if you are an embedded developer head on over and take a look!

MSDN Forums are picking up pace

Monday, May 30th, 2005

While looking at
MSDN Forums I noticed they now have several different Forums that are over the 1,000 post mark. It will be interesting to see if this grows into a big community rivaling the likes of Visual Basic Forum.
