Recommendations
People often ask me where to buy good computer equipment for a reasonable price. I buy stuff pretty frequently and talk to others about their purchases quite often and here are some places I highly recommend and some places I highly don’t reccomend. I also have provided some links to some good tools to find bargains from reputable companies and strategies to use at the mentioned sites.
Reccomended
- Newegg - This store is top notch on my list. Where to begin is a tough one. They are absolutely not a fly by night online retailer. Each product that they sell they allow users to leave a review and give the item a rating based on their own experience with the item. There shipping is also incredibly quick. I have ordered from them using the express saver shipping and received a product faster than ordering another item from another company using the more expensive 2 day shipping option - while placing both orders on the same day within minutes of each other! I haven’t even mentioned the prices yet which are very very good. I am not gonna say they are the best out there that you can find, but they are very low and generally very close to the absolute cheapest places but I am usually more than willing to shell out $3.00 to not deal with some unknown company who will take who knows how long to process my order and with what level of honesty and cusomter service they bring to the table. You will see this again and again when browsing their product reviews - Newegg Rocks!
- Buydig - This is a great store for buying digital imaging, video, and audio equipment. All my digital camera purchases and accesories have been bought at this site with the exception of a camera bag I picked up at my local Wal-Mart. I haven’t had any problems with them myself and I have read tons of great reviews about them.
